In short
The app has no accounts and no analytics, and your roster stays on your device unless you use one of the AI features described below.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the following on your device:
- Team names
- Player names and jersey numbers
- Imported song files, and the trim points you set for them
- Announcer intros you record
- Playback settings such as volume, fades, and timing
Apple Music tracks are referenced by their catalog identifier and streamed by Apple. The app does not copy or store the music itself.
None of this is sent to us except where you use one of the features in the next section.
Information sent to our servers
Some premium features require processing the app cannot do on the device. This happens only when you use those features, and everything below travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
AI announcer voices. The script you type is sent to our server, which forwards it to OpenAI or Google to synthesize speech. Scripts normally contain a player’s name and number, since that is what you are announcing. The audio is returned to your device. Our server does not store the script or the audio.
Roster photo scan. The photo you take or select is sent to our server, which forwards it to OpenAI to read the names and numbers in it. The extracted text is returned to your device for you to review and edit. Our server does not store the photo.
Purchase verification. Apple’s signed purchase receipt is sent so the server can confirm the purchase is genuine and apply your generation allowance.
Information we keep
We keep a small set of records, tied to the transaction identifier Apple gives us. That identifier does not include your name, email address, or Apple ID:
- how many AI voice generations you have remaining
- which purchases have already been credited, so one is not applied twice
- a per-day count of roster scans, used to limit abuse
These records contain no names, photos, audio, or roster contents.
Our hosting provider also records standard request logs, which can include IP addresses, for operating and securing the service. We do not combine those logs with the records above or use them to build a profile of you.
Third-party services
- OpenAI — announcer scripts, and roster photos
- Google Cloud — announcer scripts, and hosting for our server
- Apple — purchases, subscriptions, and Apple Music playback
We send these providers only what is needed to produce the result you asked for. How they handle and retain that content is governed by their own terms, and they may retain it for a period for abuse monitoring. Apple Music playback is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Permissions the app requests
- Microphone — to record announcer intros, which stay on your device.
- Camera — to photograph a roster when you start a scan.
- Photo library — you choose a single photo through the system picker. The app receives only that photo and is never granted access to your library.
- Apple Music — to search for and play tracks you choose.
Microphone, camera, and Apple Music access can be changed in the iOS Settings app. Declining a permission disables only the feature that uses it.
Children’s privacy
The app is intended for coaches and team managers, who are adults. It has no accounts, and children do not enter information into it themselves.
Because it is often used for youth sports, a coach may enter a young player’s name and number, or scan a roster listing them. That information stays on the coach’s device unless the coach uses AI voice generation or roster scanning, in which case it is processed as described above and is not retained by us.
To raise a concern about a child’s information, contact us at the address below.
Deleting your information
Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.
Removing an individual player or team removes it from the app. An audio file already saved for that player remains in the app’s storage until the app itself is deleted.
To have the purchase-linked records described above deleted, email us and we will remove them.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Every premium request is verified against Apple’s cryptographically signed purchase data before the server acts on it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at this address.
